Popeyes

In 1972, Alvin C. Copeland Sr., opened the "Chicken on the Run" restaurant in the New Orleans suburb of Arabi, where he served Southern-Fried Chicken. He later rebranded the restaurant as Popeyes, named after Popeye Doyle, of the movie The French Connection. Little did Alvin know that a sensation was born, and what began as one small restaurant would turn into a craze that swept the nation - and the world. 

Fast forward to 2024, Fred Olivieri Construction is thrilled to announce our new collaboration with the Popeyes franchise. Working alongside the Gilligan Company, with whom we've successfully built Dunkin' locations, we have completed our first ground-up Popeyes in Aurora, IN, including full site work and utilities. We are proud to be a contractor for the Gilligan Company and look forward to a lasting partnership with the Popeyes brand.
