In 1965, 17-year-old Fred DeLuca and business partner Peter Buck founded the first Subway in Bridgeport, Connecticut. At the time, they named it “Pete’s Super Submarines.” After about ten years of steady growth, Fred & Peter started franchising. This business model launched the Subway brand into growth and popularity over the next several decades. Not long ago, in 2015, Subway was the fastest growing franchise in the entire world. There are over 37,000 restaurant locations operating in 100 various countries and territories. Known for their tagline, “Eat Fresh,” Subway promotes the fresh ingredients used daily in their sub sandwiches. Fred Olivieri Construction company has been a proud partner of Subway’s “refresh program” throughout Northeast Ohio. These refresh renovations include fresh paint, flooring, graphics, etc. In only a year and a half, we have worked on 40 refresh projects for the Subway brand.
